HOWEVER, when I speak with my clients they will often say that food has become their crutch, their only go-to, and they have a lot of guilt behind it. In this section we unpack emotional eating to learn how we can manage and meet our emotional self with more compassion!

Marie-Pier always had a passion to teach and help others. She started her journey in psychology, graduating with B.Sc. Psychology and continued her studies in nutrition to become a Registered Dietitian.

Her interest to help others heal their relationship with food and their bodies came from her own struggles. After graduating from her first bachelors degree, Marie-Pier develop an eating disorder. She is no stranger to fearing foods, feeling out of control and hating her body. After battling her ED for several years, Marie-Pier recovered and found her new passion... help others heal their relationship with food and their bodies, so they too can start living freely.

Marie-Pier started her private practice with the goal of helping people have better relationships with food. Since then, Marie-Pier has helped hundreds of women give up dieting and finally make peace with food and their bodies.

Marie-Pier believes in the power of community and healing. This is why she created this online community. A space when you can feel seen, heard and cared for. A space where you can be part of a community of like-minded humans working towards food freedom.

Marie-Pier is an expert in her field and is someone who truly knows how it feels to be in your shoes. She cannot wait to support you on this journey!

Meet Marie-Pier

Vanessa is the Community Coach in the Food Freedom Club! Vanessa graduated from Western University with an Honours Specialization in Sociology. She then worked in Mental Health & Addictions with children, youth, adults & seniors for the last decade. Vanessa also has experience supporting Adults in an Eating Disorders Residence in the London Health Science Center..

She worked with Marie-Pier for a year in 2020 in The Balanced Program, healing her relationship with food & body. This experience helped erupt a spiritual and self compassionate journey which led her to continue to do the work to heal & look within. She is a super-feeler, who is an empath & feels things deeply!

Some of Vanessa’s passions are teaching dance, spirituality, cooking, animals, and all things nature. Some of her friends call her a water goddess. Vanessa is thrilled to be a part of such an incredible community supporting people to find food freedom!

Frequently Asked Questions

What do the MONTHLY group meetings look like?

The meetings will be in the form of live Q&A calls. These calls will be recorded and posted for you to watch again later or if you were unable to attend that meeting. You can presubmit questions to make sure they will be answered on the call. There will be an option for you to remain anonymous on the call by not using names or video. There is also no pressure to share or participate, you can just come to listen. These calls are there to support you and to give you information along the way.

HOW LONG IS THIS PROGRAM?

The Food Freedom Club is a year long membership! AND you are welcome to stay longer!We envision this club to be a long term community where you can come in, get support, feel heard, seen and cared for.  The year-longtime frame ensures you have time to go through all the modules and  get all the support you need while implementing everything you have learned. 

WILL I LOSE WEIGHT ON THIS PROGRAM?

This program is weight neutral: it is not intended for weight loss. The program is designed to help heal your relationship with food and your body, we will focus on mindset and healthy behaviours. You may lose weight on the program, but you may also remain the same. The purpose of this program is not focused on weight but food relationship and health outside of diet culture.

WHAT IF I HAVE AN EATING DISORDER?

This program is not meant for people currently struggling with an eating disorder. If you are struggling with an eating disorder, please check out our Eating Disorder Services

IS THIS PROGRAM COVERED BY INSURANCE?

We do not direct bill insurances. However, some insurance companies that cover dietetics will cover group programs as well. Please speak to your insurance company to find out more about this.
