It’s brave to seek help, yet you may struggle with fears of being judged or misunderstood. The uncertainty about therapy’s effectiveness and fluctuating motivation can be daunting. You might also worry that therapy won’t have lasting effects, leading to further disappointment.
I understand that eating disorders are complex, intertwining with the body-mind connection, self-image, and often trauma, while also involving potential feelings of shame, guilt, and self-disgust. In empathizing with your loneliness, struggle, and these intense emotions, I use an integrative, body-first approach that focuses on your safety and comfort to process your feelings and thoughts. We’ll collaborate to select therapy methods suited to your needs, and together, we’ll co-create a plan towards your goals.
This journey will showcase your innate healing abilities. You’ll learn to acknowledge and integrate various aspects of yourself, fostering internal change. Recognizing the conflicting parts within — one seeking change, another resisting — helps understand your feelings of being stuck. We’ll clarify your desires and improve how you relate to yourself and others, building deeper self-compassion and connections.

My personal journey of overcoming perfectionism, anxiety and mood swings, and low self-compassion, alongside being part of immigrant, visible, and linguistic minority communities, allows me to be more compassionate, trauma-informed, and non-judgmental in my care.
